Evince helps found NEAME

Evince Technology is pleased to announce that it is one the founder companies of the North East Advanced Material Electronics cluster group (NEAME), which was officially launched at the NMI conference being held in Durham.
NEAME is a collaborative, industry-led cluster that has been established to showcase the regional capability in this area. Its remit covers any organisation that works in or supports advanced electronics beyond silicon. While Evince is pioneering the development of synthetic-diamond-based components to revolutionise, along with others, the metrology and microscopy markets. Other member companies in the cluster embrace a diverse range of technologies and markets.

Working with the group, Evince will enjoy the benefits of operating as a single voice to raise the profile of the region’s competencies and address common shared challenges faced by the cluster such as skills development, accessible resources and access to finance.
The North East already has a thriving industry doing semiconductor-related things, with over 30 active companies supported by 5 universities, together employing over 1800 people and contributing over £200m GVA to the region.

“Evince is already benefitting from the cluster through informal and formal collaboration with other north east businesses allowing us to access knowledge and resources, and likewise we have also been supporting a few of them. It’s a win-win approach that promotes innovation at all levels.”
