Covid 19 is still not fully behind us. As a lab-based business, close working is an inevitability. However the safety of everyone working at or visiting Evince is a top priority. Where possible we operate socially-distanced working practices and protocols to reduce potential spread of Covid 19, which includes flexibility to work from home when and if it is possible to do so.


  • Description: We are looking to recruit a degree qualified (or higher) scientist or engineer, with at least 5 years’ experience and familiarity with the spectrum of thin film deposition processes used in the semiconductor industry.
    The ideal candidate has preferably worked in R&D settings, with hands-on experience of developing and adapting processes to work with challenging material systems.
  • Essential attributes:
    •  Strong understanding of a range of thin film deposition processes including plasma assisted, CVD, electro-chemical and physical vapour methods.
    •  Ability to lead and inspire a small team.
    •  Able to quickly grasp scientific concepts and technologies, not afraid to try new things or tear up conceptions of old things.
  • Desirable attributes:
    •  Good communicator with ability to effectively engage with project stakeholders, management and other members of the team.
    •  Practical hands-on engineering skills and understanding that solutions need be capable of scaling into manufacturing.
    •  Adaptable and able work well in a constantly changing environment.
  • Remuneration:
    Competitive (including opportunity to gain share options) with support for relocation.
